NSW School Based Apprenticeship and Traineeship program

Do you have or know a student that shows an interest in the real estate world, because they can now invest in their future in the real estate industry.

The NSW School Based Apprenticeship and Traineeship program offers real estate employers support to take on and train a senior high school student.

It is more than just a high-school job, it sets a young person up for a career in our industry while completing their HSC and it benefits the business.

The traineeship means the student can gain an industry-recognised qualification, credit toward their HSC and work placement that allows them to learn a vocation.

"While undertaking the HSC, the trainee will undertake a combination of industry-specialised training and one day per week in paid employment.

During their traineeship, school-based trainees will acquire the skills to work in the real estate industry. They'll receive foundation training int he following areas:

.Legislation

.Selling and leasing practices

.Meeting customer needs and expectations.

.Using and maintaining property and client information databases

.Workplace health and safety.

"A school-based traineeship offers a great way to help a young person kick-start their career in the real estate industry and also provide the agency with an addition resource."

"Depending on when the student commences as a trainee - in Year, 10,11, or 12 - and the number of hours they work over that time, they will complete the five units of competency they need to apply for a Certificate of Registration, or even all units towards their Certificate III in Real Estate Practice."

If you would like more information or to discuss further as to how the student may proceed or even obtain an introduction to the real estate industry, please call, text or email Nola Debney.
